Main Event Results Updated Live... sorta.

The night started with 12 players on two tables. Early in the evening Adam and Aris locked heads when Aris pushed on the river with fours full of Aces. Adam insta-called with Aces full of 9s, with the board 4xAA9. Aris was sent home early. He did take home the 1st man out prize and a long bad beat drive home. This tough bad beat was talked about through out the evening. Tough one for sure Aris.

Play continued with 11 players past the dinner break. Adam was able to hit a pair against Mitch's bleeding allin to send Mitch to the rail in 11th.

The two tables then broke down to one with only ten players remaining. Adam called Jason's all in. Jason was sent home in 10th. Adam has a major chip lead at this point with possibly 1/3 of the chips in play.

The biggest hand of the evening was when Brian pushed his last 10k, Adam called, Trinity pushed allin for another 11600. Jeff called with all his chips, and of course Adam insta-called for the remaining 11600. With three players allin and Adam the only one not allin, cards were revealed... Brian (A8c), Jeff (AKo), Trinity (AJd) and Adam (66). Sixes held and Adam took down the largest pot to this point in the evening for 132,600. Brian finished 9th, Jeff 8th and Trinity 6th.

Chris and Matt got into a hand which sent Chris home in 7th. (I did not see the hand so I do not have the details.)

Adam and Donnie get mixed up in a hand where Adam hit 2pair on the river while Donnie hit the nut flush. Donnie pushes and Adam insta-called. Donnie took down over 200k and gained the chip lead leaving Adam with only 76k.

Matt decides to push short stacked with JK and the Chip Leader Donnie called with 55. Matt managed to flop a Jack to take the pot. With only five players no one wants to go out on the bubble since the tourney pays out only four places.

Derrick was short stacked and moved allin with AKs and was quickly called by Matt who flips over pocket Aces (AA). Even though the board through the turn brought Derrick outs with a straight draw, flush draw and any King (flop paired his King) the Aces held up to send Derrick to the rail in 5th. He took home a poker chip set and finished the year like the Dolphins (0-12).

Now in the money with only four players. Donnie was the Chip Leader with Adam close behind. Matt and Sean held on with lower chip stacks.

Sean and Adam got mixed up in a hand when Sean pushed on the low stack and Adam called with A10. Sean turns over a Qc10c. Board came JJ887. Although two clubs came on the flop Sean could not improve and Adam sent Sean to the rail in 4th for $100.

With three players remaining, Matt and Donnie (who started playing looser with his big stack) once again got involved in a hand after a call and check to the flop. Flop came Jc-4c-4h. Donnie talked Matt into going all-in and Donnie insta-called. Matt flips over his Jh9d for two pair. Donnie turns over the AcAs for a better two pair. Matt could not improve and was sent to the rail in third.

Now in Heads Up play with Adam and Donnie. Donnie is the Chip Leader. First few hands are pretty much a raise fold situation. Adam holds about 100k while Donnie has about 260k. Adam pushes all-in with AsKc, Donnie calls with 9s5s and the board comes 10-3-3-2-3 giving Adam the pot and the chip lead once again.

A deal is discussed and made at 11pm. Both players agree to take $315 a piece and play out for the title, the trophy and the remaining $105. Play did not last many hands after this (maybe 3-4) With what I think was a blind all-in from the BB, Adam makes Donnie make a decision for all of his chips. Donnie looks at his cards and calls. They decide to run in before revealing their hole card. Board comes 5d-7h-3s-9s-Qc. Adam flips over K9c for a pair of nines. Donnie shows his A7 for a pair of sevens.

Adam
takes down the pot and wins the 2007 Main Event.

Congratulations.

Adam also managed to knock out eight (8) players for an additional $45 in bounties (included his own bounty, since he did not get knocked out). Matt took home an extra $10 for his two (2) knock outs and Donnie took down one (1) knock out for $5.

1st-Adam, 2nd-Donnie, 3rd-Matt, 4th-Sean, 5th-Derrick, 6th-Chris, 7th-Trinity, 8th-Jeff, 9th-Brian, 10th-Jason, 11th-Mitch and 12th-Aris

Special thanks to Eddie for dealing the Main Event for most of the evening. Donnie for providing last place and 5th place prizes. Sean for hosting, dealing, ordering pizza, and taking care of all the details for our home game. And a special thanks goes out to someone who never plays in our games but deals with us playing at her house every month... Lisa.
