Event #5 Date Change!

FYI: We will be playing Event #5 on Thursday, May 17th instead of May 10th. I may have tp attend a business function that night.

RPO Event #14 Results in a Clean Sweep

Five played but only one sent the other four to the rail in tonights RPO Event #14.

For the second week in a row Harley1998 (Jeff) won again. Dominating the chip stack for most of the evening. The cards were stacked his way against all 4 of his take downs. For the second time in RPO history the winner knocked out all seated players (OutlawJesco did it in Event #10) .

Harley1998 started the take down with All In Reed by flopping quad sixes. Shortly there after he eliminated mukraven by flopping two pair with QK. About 10 minutes later Harley1998 raised about 3x the BB and OutlawJesco woke up with a playable hand (wired tens)in the BB and decided push all in. Harley1998 called with AxKd. Although OutlawJesco flopped a set Harley1998 still had an inside straight draw and a possible backdoor flush draw... He got the back door diamond flush to knock out OutlawJesco for 3rd.

Now with a dominating chip stack (his chips had chips)against car_guy_67, heads up play began. car_guy_67 fought like a trooper but could not manage to get much going, but he did manage to leave with a nice parting gift of $7.50.

Final Hand: Harley1998 (AA) against car_guy_67 (J8d). The Aces held up to give Harley1998 (Jeff) the win. and $12.50

Ship It Baby!!!

I may have lost in tonight's RPL event on FTP... but I ended up taking down the $10 Daily Double B on FTP tonight for almost $2,ooo. I outlasted over 900 people. Plus, I get a bonus for cashing in both of the Daily Doubles tonight... not sure how much that'll be yet.

RPO Event #13 Results in Broken Ties

The Usual Six Suspects signed on tonight for Event #13.

Another long game was played. Of course not everyone got to play the long version. The points leader car_guy_67 was taken down first this evening. And after an almost out first to big come back to go out second was Chef106 when All In Reed caught a FH on the river and got his revenge for a suckout that Chef106 had made earlier. OutlawJesco took All In Reed out when he reraised All In Reed all-in after the flop and caught his lucky flush on the turn. Reed finished 4th aka Bubble Boy.

Mukraven hung around for some time even though he had not caught cards all night. But when it counted he caught Harley1998 with the right hand and mukraven was able to double up. But in the end mukraven had his wings clipped and went home third.

Heads up play between Harley1998 and OutlawJesco continued for quite awhile (93 hands) Harley1998 dominated for the most part, with OutlawJesco going way down and bouncing back to take the lead for a short time. With the blinds so high the chip lead bounced back and forth. Again OutlawJesco went down and bounced back up. These two were battling for more than tonight's win but also to untie their online points. Both players played exceptionally well in the heads up match. But in the end Harley1998 held on to what he started with and that was the chips and the win.

Final Hand: Outlaw w/ two pair Aces & fives and Harley w/ a flopped 5 high straight.

A Day of Sadness...

Pray for the Virginia Tech family. A friend of mine's son is a sophomore there, but luckily he's OK.

No one is running away with either POY race at this time. A win can propel anyone several spots, so everyone just hang in there because we have a lot of events left to play. Brian and Matt are showing consistency by holding the top 2 spots in both rankings.

April Event #4 Results!

Last night we had 9 players show up for Event #4. The buy-in was $40 and it paid out 3 places. Action started quickly as Travis, Matt and Trinity got involved in a huge pot early. Travis was all-in w/ KJ, Trinity with nut flush draw and Matt w/ KQ (two pair). Matt's KQ held and he assumed a significant chip lead. Less than 10 minutes later, Mike's big draw could not hit and got crippled by Adam's set of 9's. Play resumed 7 handed for about an hour and a half. Sean was short-stacked in SB and only Brian left to act in BB. Sean's A7 couldn't beat Brian's A9. Just minutes later we had 3-way pot with w/ 2 all-ins. Chris' 66, Brian's QQ and Trinity's J9 with a 6 hitting the flop. Chris took down a nice pot and eliminated Trinity. Bad beat of the night came when Jeff pushed w/ AQ and Brian called w/ KQ. The flop came 10109 w/ turn being a blank, but the river brought a J to send Jeff to the rail. After 20 minutes of play, Matt shoved UTG with 44 to be instacalled by Chris with 66. The 6's held and Matt finished on the infamous "bubble".

Now with the final 3 players guaranteed a profit play really loosened up. Adam took down a big pot from Chris which neither player had a pair. That play hurt Chris and eventually led to his 3rd place finish. A chop talk started w/ Brian and Adam HU. They decided to play for 10-15 more minutes, then decided to do a even chop. Adam held the chip lead at the time of the chop, so he won the bracelet and first place points.

We had a new face to the Reed Poker Online event,Mr. Bradley joined us. It was good to see him at the tables once again. The Chef106's night was cut short when his pocket QQ were beat by Car_guy_67's AK for two pair. When ask about his first experience in the RPO event, Adam said it was fun and he would probably be back. I ask what his favorite hand was since he has been away for some time. His response "1o-A"... I'll let you think on that one awhile.

While mukraven and All in Reed were short stacked for some time, It was Harley1998(Jeff) who was next to fall. Followed by All in Reed. The top three went on for some time with car_guy67 dominating with a huge chip lead over the very short stacked mukraven and OutlawJesco. Car_guy67 while chip leader was timid at times since he had doubled players up too many times. Yet it was mukraven who was next to go.

Now in headsup play, OutlawJesco had an uphill climb to come close to car_guy67. Brian dominated with about a 7-1 chip lead. Outlaw seemed to get some great cards and was able to actually take the lead with chips at almost even. The final hand that ended the game... on the button Brian raises to 770 Trinity calls 530, flop Ts 4d Kh, outlaw bets 960, carguy raises allin, outlaw thinks about it and calls, with mukraven chiming in to call, carguy with Qd Ad against outlaws Qc Jh. carguys Ace holds up to end the night. So ends another great night of online play. See you at the tables.

RPL Online #11 Results!

Well, 5 players signed on tonight for Event #11.

Action started quickly when Trinity was sent to the rail by Jeff who got a "Blind Special" by hitting a set of 3's. Next out was Brian who tried to make a move w/ Q10 and Sean put him all-in vs. his 55. The fives held and Brian was out. Play continued 3-handed for awhile until Sean also sent Matt packing albeit by a little suckout. HU play only lasted a few minutes as both Jeff and Sean were being agressive. Jeff made his push with 76 and Sean woke up with QQ to seal the victory.

Online points changed slightly Matt and Brian held the top 2 spots. Sean jumped into 3rd place with the victory followed by Jeff and Trinity rounding out the top 5.
