April Event Results (Part 1)

The April Event had nine players for a full table. Brian R is in to defend his March win and a few players who missed March are back. (This will probably be the most comprehensive update thanks to some criticism of previous post j/k and my little black book...lol)

Play was tight and not note worthy until blinds got to 300/600 Trinity and Tony see the flop of , , X. Trinity is first to act but Tony says All In. Trinity contemplates and studies Tony and even shows the . Tony tells him he has Aces. Trinity claims to have the same and checks. Tony checks. Turn is . Trinity checks. Tony pushes AI (with Trinity covered). Trinity snap-calls. and shows for the straight to bust Tony's

Very next hand. Blinds 300/600. Vern pushes all in and gets two callers Mike and Shorty. Mike has everyone covered with two players AI. Vern shows , Mike shows . Vern shows . Board comes . Giving Shorty the win with a triple up. Sending Vern home 9th and leaving Mike with about 3100 in chips.

Shortly after Mike who is short stacked pushes All In and gets called by Aris. Mike with vs. Aris with board flops Aris a set and Mike takes runner, runner for a heart flush on the river. Allowing Mike to double up.

Blinds are up to 400/800. Aris pushes All In with Sean with calls after deliberation. Board comes . Aris doubles up.

With blinds still 400/800. Mike, Shorty and Aris got involved in a hand that could lead to a bust or two, depending on the result. Mike bet, Shorty looked at Mike's short stack and said he puts Mike all in (forgetting that Aris is still in the hand) Aris comes over the top of both players by going all in. Mike, on the short stack calls with his favorite hand . Shorty folds. Aris shows . Board comes . Mike triples up with a set that improved to the unnecessary flush, leaving Aris with about 9k in chips.

Soon thereafter with blinds at 500/1000, it folds around to Shorty and Aris in the blinds. Aris pushes all in and Shorty who thinks Aris is on tilt thinks about it but folds. Aris shows

Derrick pushes all in and gets two callers, Aris and Sean. The two check it down. Aris wins with on a board. Sean and Derrick muck it. Derrick bust 8th.

At 9:37pm with blinds at 700/1400 Aris and Sean tangle when Aris raises to 4k. Sean reraises to 10k. Aris goes all in with Sean insta-calling. Sean shows vs. Aris' . Aris has Sean out chipped by only 600 for a pot of over 38k. on a board of . Sean's aces hold and Aris is all but gone with 600 in chips.

Aris who is UTG the very next hand puts his 600 in, in the dark with blinds still at 700/1400. It folds around to Mike in the small blind who pushes all in to isolate. Shorty folds his 1400 big blind. Mike shows vs. Aris' . With a flop that all but seals the deal, Aris hits his runner, runner for a straight. Board is . Aris triples up to 1800 in chips.

That was the beginning of Aris' rush of hands... with blinds at 700/1400 Aris is in the BB and puts his 1800 in, in the dark. Brian, UTG+1, pushes allin for 5900. Everyone else folds. Pot was 4300. Aris shows vs Brian's . On a board of , Aris' kings hold.

The very next hand at 9:45pm, Aris and Brian face off again. Brian's vs. Aris' . Flop comes the nuts for Aris with the the turn and river did not improve Brian's hand. Brian bust out 7th and Aris now up to 8200 in chips.
