RPO Event #18 Results!

Last night's week #18 RPO event has 6 players buy-in for a chance at our first "non-holdem" title. The game was Pot Limit Omaha Hi.

Play started fast as Matt took an early chip lead after winning a nice size pot from Trinity and Greg.

It didn't take long for the first player to go down. Sean and Greg got involved in a pot when the flop was 6 hi and Greg bet out. Sean re-raised all-in w/ only pocket 7's hoping for a fold from Greg. Greg was going know where because he held AAin the hole. The turn brough a 7 and Sean busted Greg w/ a set of 7's.

Play continued for alittle while until Sean, Jeff and Trinity saw a flop together. Trinity short-stacked pushes w/ Q's, Sean folds and Jeff calls. The turn brought Jeff the nut flush and sent Trinity to the rail in 5th place.

Four-handed play lasted only about 4 hands after Matt hits a set of Q's on the flop. However, Sean had a set of K's. Matt finished on the bubble in 4th place.

At this point, Sean held over a 2:1 chip lead over 2nd place Jeff. All three players decide to see a unraised flop and it come 444. Jeff checks, Brian bets 300 and Sean smooth calls holding quad 4's. Sean continued to let Brian lead the way as Brian was holding 4's over K's for a boat. After the river Brian pushes w/ his full house and Sean types "gg" and calls with quads. "GG" Brian for a 3rd place finish and $6.00.

Heads-up play started w/ Sean holding about a 3.8:1 lead over Jeff, who's been on fire lately in the RPO. Sean basically was raising pre-flop every hand because of his chip lead. Finally, Sean raises his typical to 360, Jeff re-raises and Sean goes all-in. Sean has QQ92 and Jeff has AKQ2. Jeff's A or K never hit. Jeff continues his nice run of cashes in the RPO for $9.

Sean wins his 4th RPO event for $15 and our first non-holdem event.

Sean moves to 3rd place in the standing while Matt drops to 4th. Brian and Jeff round out the top 2 spots.

Friday- 4th in Stars $5.50 tourney for $372.

Saturday- 14th place FTP's nightly $26k GTD. and finished 14th for $272. Suffered two horrible beats with 15 people left when I was chip leader.

May Event #5 Results!

Last night we had a great turnout for Event #5 with 12 players. The buy-in was $40 and it paid out 4 places. Two tables of 6 started the action w/ one player on each table being blinded til they arrived. Play early on was pretty tight with every feeling out their opposing players.

Jason was knocked out about an hour into play by Chris.

Within a minute, Derrick was busted by Adam and we moved to one table.

At about 8:30pm, Adam was at it again busting a fellow bracelet winner Anthony in 10th place.

Newcomer Aris went out in 9th place when his AQoff got beat by Aaron's A6 flush.

About 2 1/2 hours into play newcomer Jim made a stand with AQ only to run into Chris' KK. The K's held and Jim finished in 8th place.

Next was Matt who's stack went up and down all night got busted by Adam to finish in 7th place.

Aaron who had his best night to-date finished in 6th place after being busted by Chris.

Bubble time! Brian pushed w/ QQ and Adam had him dominated with AA. Adam caught a full house and busted Brian in 5th place.

"In The Money"

Play was tight 4-handed w/ exception of Adam, of course. :)

Sean was card dead for well over an hour and finally saw QQ to push all-in. Trinity called w/ AJ and got a J on the flop and A on the river to bust Sean in 4th place winning his $40 back.

Chris went down next by Trinity and took 3rd place for $75. I think it was T's KK vs. Chris' AX.

Down to HU play which lasted almost an hour. A chop was mentioned by Adam, but Trinity wanted a bracelet and bragging rights. The stacks went up and down until a pivotal hand when Adam won about $20K+ from Trinity without a showdown. After that hand Adam continued his aggressive play. Trinity finally pushed all-in trying to take the blinds and Adam picked up 66 and called. Trinity had 107 for a race, but a 6 hit the flop and spelled the end for the HU battle. Trinity took home $115 for second place.

Adam became our first 2-time bracelet winner and won $190 for his victory.

RPO Event #17 Results

Here's a rundown of last night's action...
Seven players played last night's RPO event. Action started quickly and Sean and Jeff got all-in pre-flop just a few minutes into play. Sean had KK and Jeff had JJ and the J's got no help from the board. Next out was Greg who had pocket 6's, but Brian's AK won the race when an A hit. Fifth place was Adam's when his AK couldn't hit against Brian's 1010. Brian has a hefty stack after these two knockouts. Matt and Trinity got all-in pre-flop with Matt holding 99 and Trinity holding 88. Trinity hits his two-outer when an 8 spikes on the river. Matt still has about $900+ but was steaming after that beat. Eventually, Matt shoves all-in post flop against Brian when he has J's and straight draw, but Brian had Q's and straight draw also. Matt finishes in 4th place and on the bubble.
Three players remain and their all in the money. Sean was short-stacked and got JJ. After a raise and call from Trinity, flop comes Qd3s2d...Sean pushes all-in and Trinity calls w/ nut flush draw. Turn brings a diamond and Sean finishes 3rd for $7.00. Head-up play starts w/ Brian as chip leader until a pivotal hand where Trinity's catches a 2 on the flop for a set of 2's. This hand leaves Brian w/ just $50 in chips and a couple of hands later Trinity takes it down. Brian's 2nd place was good for $10.50.
Champion: Trinity $17.50
Standings: Only 42 points seperate 1st from 5th, so it's still a very open race for RPO Player of the Year.

RPO #16 Results

Tonight's event was alittle different being that the event was a rebuy event. It was a $2+1 and got the prize pool up to $42 w/ 5 players.
The play was alittle more aggressive with rebuys available. Trinity was first one out after a few rebuys gone bad. Next to the virtual rail was Brian in 4th place. Play continued 3-handed for awhile. Jeff pushed w/ J's post flop only to run into Sean's set of 6's. Jeff finally doesn't win and finishes 3rd for $8.40. Sean held about a 2.5:1 chip lead over Matt, but Matt didn't back down. Matt eventually went on run and got the chip lead. However, Sean got a rush and had a flush and 3 straights in less than 8 hands to take the lead again. After that Sean kept his lead and finished Matt off. Matt finished 2nd for $12.60 after tilting last week.
Sean won $21.00 for his victory. Updated stats will be posted on website soon.

I'm in, who's not in...

It is less than two weeks until our May Event. (May 17th). If you are coming be sure to let me or Sean know. (Not that we will deny you a seat if you call at 6:30 on May 17th wanting to play). We had nine players last month. It should be another great game. For those of you who have not come in a few months, it would be good to see you again. For those we see every month, I expect you will be there.

Also for our online events we need to be recruiting more people to play. I like you guys but damn I'm tired of seeing only the 5-6 avatar mugs every week. If anyone has any ideas as to get more people to play feel free to let us know. If might be fun to open it up to Ante Up, TPT or TPL players. What are your thoughts?
