RPL Event #11 Results

This month was a good turn out with ten players. This event was an important event because it was the last event before the December Main Event and three players were hoping to unseat the points leader for the free buy-in the the Main Event.

The first hand of the night had Adam and Derrick heads up for a huge pot. Derrick who took down the pot, had been waiting many months for this. (Adam has sent Derrick to the rail on a number of occasions). This left Adam short stacked and he made an early exit 30 minutes into the evening.

Matt's stack took a big hit when he did not believe Brad and called the allin. Brad's pocket K's held against Matt's pocket 4's. Shortly there after Matt was sent to the rail when he pushed UTG and Sean called with AJ in BB and Sean took down the pot. Trinity doubled up through Sean when his pocket 9s held against Sean's AKo. Within the next two hands Brad's pocket 9s held to put Brian, who had a lower pocket pair, out. Aris soon followed when he was short stacked and pushed allin preflop in the dark on the button prior to anyone even betting. Trinity pushed allin before it got back to Aris to get everyone else out when he looked down at KK.

Mitch and Derrick exited together for 6th and 5th when Mitch pushed with a small pair and Derricks A8s ran into the big stack of Brad who sent them home when his higher pocket pair held up.

Brad who took a number of hits to his stack was finally sent to the rail by Sean. Sean raised with 55 and Brad just called with KK. When the flop came 5xx, Sean checked to Brad who pushed. Sean instacalled and sent him home.

We are then in the money with three players, Donnie, Trinity and Sean (CL). Trinity sent Donnie home and heads up began at 11:10pm with Sean holding a minor chip lead. From the first hand on Trinity was getting a hot deck and Sean was cold decked. Sean got down to about and managed to double up then lose it and double up again. The final hand of heads up play came at 12:10am. Sean pushed allin as the small button and Trinity looked down at pocket deuces and insta-called. Sean turns over AK. Sean never improved. Game over. Good game.

Trinity and Sean each took down their sixth cash and Trinity took home his first bracelet.
