Event #45 RPO - Solitary Man
We broke attendance records with this game of Omaha. Never in the history of RPO has this number of people managed to compete in a game where the Online POY hangs in the balance. Never has a single player taken down so many points for a game at this level.
Omaha, party of one your table is ready.
Outlaw Jesco takes down the event without a fight, pulling within range of the points leader.

Need some $ to play online...
I became a member of www.NeverBeg.com in September. This is a poker staking site. It's a forum where people posts stakes for players to apply for if they qualify. The staker will state if it's a 50%/50% deal and if you profit you send the staker part of the money back. The site has a system that seems to work well.
It's a good place to get low stakes to start out your online bankroll or to stake players and try to win some money while you sleep, work, etc. I have had a couple of horses win me some nice money in stakes as low as $2.20.
I also am currently playing a $500 monthly series for multiple stakers which I have ran to about $1,800 currently. It's a good way to lower the variance of online play because all of the losses are not coming from your bankroll. Of course, you have to perform to keep getting stakes.
Check it out! ReedMoney is me SN.

New Players for 2008
Players,
With the upcoming season 2 starting in January it's a good time to get new players. Since I have up'd the min. games to qualify for the '08 Main Event to 4 games it is important that players attend as much possible.
Plus, with our nice "Player of the Year" and Tournament of Champions Freeroll prizes it should entice players to attend regularly.

RPO Event #43 Results
Need I say it... Three people again tonight, the same three as usual.
After a long battle, since this was a rebuy, Brian said no more when Sean broke him just before the break and was out. Sean started heads up with about a 4 to 1 chip lead. Heads up continued for awhile and on a turning point hand Sean put Trinity to a decision after the turn. Trinity thought long and hard with his flush draw not putting Sean on his set of sixes and called only to catch 1 of the 13 cards he needed to take the huge pot and the lead. Sean never recovered and the last hand Sean pushed with 89 and Trinity called with 99. A nine came on the flop and the game was over. Trinity took down the $22 pot.

Ship It!!!
Sean just won the $3 Rebuy tournament for the 2nd time on Full Tilt Poker. His win was good for $1,178.10 . This is his 5th overall $3 rebuy victory online over the last 12 months making him a $3 rebuy specialist!
He stayed in top 3-5 for the last two hours until his QQ was beat by A10 on river. From then on he had to grind his way to the FT. At the FT, Sean came in 7th in chip count. He grinded, pushed a couple of times and ended up catching a BB special by flopping a set that got paid off. He then proceeded to bust 4 of the remaining players.
Heads up play lasted 4 hands, as the other player kept asking to make a deal. Sean refused and then got a monster hand 24off. He raised 3x and got re-raised. Figuring his opponent probably had an AX he called. The flop came 478. Sean checked raised all-in with his pair of 4's w/ 2 kicker. He was instacalled with AK and the 4's held for the win.

RPL Event #11 Results
This month was a good turn out with ten players. This event was an important event because it was the last event before the December Main Event and three players were hoping to unseat the points leader for the free buy-in the the Main Event.
The first hand of the night had Adam and Derrick heads up for a huge pot. Derrick who took down the pot, had been waiting many months for this. (Adam has sent Derrick to the rail on a number of occasions). This left Adam short stacked and he made an early exit 30 minutes into the evening.
Matt's stack took a big hit when he did not believe Brad and called the allin. Brad's pocket K's held against Matt's pocket 4's. Shortly there after Matt was sent to the rail when he pushed UTG and Sean called with AJ in BB and Sean took down the pot. Trinity doubled up through Sean when his pocket 9s held against Sean's AKo. Within the next two hands Brad's pocket 9s held to put Brian, who had a lower pocket pair, out. Aris soon followed when he was short stacked and pushed allin preflop in the dark on the button prior to anyone even betting. Trinity pushed allin before it got back to Aris to get everyone else out when he looked down at KK.
Mitch and Derrick exited together for 6th and 5th when Mitch pushed with a small pair and Derricks A8s ran into the big stack of Brad who sent them home when his higher pocket pair held up.
Brad who took a number of hits to his stack was finally sent to the rail by Sean. Sean raised with 55 and Brad just called with KK. When the flop came 5xx, Sean checked to Brad who pushed. Sean instacalled and sent him home.
We are then in the money with three players, Donnie, Trinity and Sean (CL). Trinity sent Donnie home and heads up began at 11:10pm with Sean holding a minor chip lead. From the first hand on Trinity was getting a hot deck and Sean was cold decked. Sean got down to about and managed to double up then lose it and double up again. The final hand of heads up play came at 12:10am. Sean pushed allin as the small button and Trinity looked down at pocket deuces and insta-called. Sean turns over AK. Sean never improved. Game over. Good game.
Trinity and Sean each took down their sixth cash and Trinity took home his first bracelet.
Note: The above recount of the evening is to the best of my knowledge. I welcome any corrections if any. Thanks.

Reed Poker Online Event #42 Results
As usual only three players. It was a short night for OutlawJesco (3 min) Outlaw made a pot bet on the flop and was called by carguy who then hit a flush on the turn leaving Outlaw dead in the water. Outlaw called the allin thinking carguy was bluffing only to lose and sent to the rail.
The game continued heads up. Hands of interest was on the river when Carguy bluffed Allinreed off a hand with a board of 3Ax39. Reed held an Ace but folded to Carguys large bet. He showed 7-2. Another was not a big pot but still funny. Carguy shows his J2 with a board of J2XJ2. After 30 min AllinReed was able to take the lead from carguy. Carguy took it back and was able to win when he called AllinReed(Kx) vs Carguys (J8) when the board was xJAK and then Carguy caught the "8" on the river. Carguy takes the $15 win and keeps his RPL Online Points lead.
3rd - OutlawJesco
2nd - All in Reed

Bracelet Winner McKinney Arrested
in Kingsport Gambling Raid
As reported on PokerNews
2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Seniors Event winner William Paul "Cigar" McKinney was arrested last week along with 15 others during a gambling raid in Kingsport, Tennessee. Police were informed about the alleged operation via a citizen's tip and raided the building around 9:30 p.m. Friday night, only to find the men sitting around a table playing cards.
According to a report by the Kingsport Times-News, police seized $19,900 in cash, several decks of playing cards, poker chips and betting slips for both college and professional football games, labeled with the names of the people wagering and the amounts of their bets.
Police have determined that Donnie Godsey, part owner of the Hog Wild Saloon, was the game's proprietor. Godsey faces aggravated gambling promotion charges, as does McKinney, who allegedly ran a bookmaking operation from inside the makeshift poker room and is alleged to be one of the game's organizers. McKinney, 82, had an undisclosed number of pills on his person at the time of the raid and also faces one charge of possession of schedule III narcotics.
McKinney's arrest marks the second time in three months that a bracelet winner from the 2005 WSOP has been arrested during a poker raid. Back in September, Maciek "Michael" Gracz was arrested on gambling-related charges after a group of officers from the Alcohol Law Enforcement agency raided a single-story building in Benson, NC.

Poker Wingman: To Have (or Have Not)
In a recent copy of Bluff Magazine, I saw an ad for Poker Wingman (a poker odds calculator). After looking over the website I decided to give it a try just to see what it was like and to see if it was worth using. As far as odds calculators go it was a good program. I had very few problems. The upside is it would automatically detect your hole cards and the flop etc.It was just as the site promised.
In the end the only real use I found for it was that it remembered my hole cards after I folded (since PokerStars does not show them). Would pay $40 for the pro version? Um No. Although I did try to find a hack for it to no avail. The advantage to the pro version would be to see the pot odds calculated and to control the "style of play". Mainly out of curiousity.
This may be a good program for a beginner and as a "what were my hole cards" assistant, otherwise I would not waste the time. You really have to play the player more than you play the cards. All my playing decisions were made on my knowledge with no assistance from the poker wingman. So what's the point?
Therefore my opinion is Have Not.
Blogger's Note: I plan to try to start including more poker information on the blog beyond just the league, whether it is a review of a book, program, website or just poker news of interest so please feel free to email me your personal reviews, news or big wins and I will be glad to post them.

Can't Stop This HORSE
With the usual suspects in attendance the game started as usual. Brian took the lead after hitting Sean pretty hard. After about 40 minutes though we were all back to about even. Sean went on a run in the Stud portion of the game and managed to take a large lead. Brian was busted by Sean in the last hand of Stud H/L. This gave Sean about a 4.5-to-1 chip lead over Trinity who got pocket KK on the first hand heads up in the Limit Hold'em round. From that hand Trinity did not look back and Sean was card dead. Trinity was catching great cards and managed to take the lead from Sean. The rush for Trinity continued and the game ended after just over an hour.
HORSE winner - Trinity $9.75
2nd - Sean $5.25
3rd - Brian
HORSE winner - Trinity $9.75
